OUTDOOR LOCATION GUIDE


There are so many gorgeous places in Utah to capture your most special moments. The locations listed below are just some of my favorite places to capture the beauty that Utah has to offer. In this guide, I provide locations in Utah county and Salt Lake county. You can pick one of these locations, or if you have another location in mind I am more than happy to do that. Or if you can't quite find what you are looking for in this guide, I can give you other options of locations not listed.

City Center Field - Eagle Mountain, UT


This location is perfect for an open natural grass field setting with gorgeous mountains in the background. There is a rustic fence there that can add character and dimension to your photos. Ideal for family/large family photos.

Jordan River Trail - Saratoga Springs, UT


The Jordan River trail boasts beautiful views of Mount Timp and Utah Laker and is covered with tall grass and foxtails lining the river. Perfect for any type of session.

Shoreline Park- Lehi/Saratoga Springs, UT


This location is on the north shore of Utah Lake right on the border of Lehi and Saratoga Springs. Perfect for pond/lake views, mountain views, large trees.

Saratoga Hill - Saratoga Springs, UT


This location has a stunning Desert Rocky Mountain vibe with sage brush bushes and other desert plants along the trails. Please note, this location does require a 5-10 minute hike. This locations is best for families with kids older than 4 (or young kids that are happy to hike a little bit), couples, and anyone who is willing to hike up to this spot.

Utah Lake - Vineyard, UT


Utah Lake is a beautiful spot for capturing lake views, mountain views, and more. Tall foxtail grass lines the lake and makes for beautiful images!

Tibble Fork Reservoir - American Fork Canyon, UT


Tibble fork is a gorgeous location during anytime of the year. There are hills mountains, pine trees, a reservoir, and various view you just can't beat! The are so many spots for amazing photos at Tibble Fork. There is a $10 parking fee per vehicle at this location and may be busy on weekends.

Stewart Falls Trailhead - Provo Canyon, UT


Located just past Sundance. This location is stunning with mountain views, tall pines, and meadows. There is a $6 parking fee at this location.

Kyhv Peak Lower Parking Lot - Provo Canyon, UT


This is a great spot with a view over Utah county and of Mount Timpanogos. There are some slopes and hills at this location and is best for individual portraits, couples, or small families.

Provo River Trail - Provo, UT


The Provo river trail is a great place to get a gorgeous walking trail with tall mature cottonwood trees, a small flowing river, and is great for vibrant fall colors (in the fall of course).

The Saltair - Salt Lake City, UT


This location is right by the Great Saltair and has a beautiful view of the Salt Lake. This location offers a very open feel and will give a gorgeous neutral and interesting background in your photos. Has a similar look to the salt flats without having to drive as far. PLEASE NOTE: This location does require a bit of walking on sharp and/or wet ground. Please wear appropriate shoes for this location. Also, if you are sensitive to smell, keep in mind that there is a very strong salty/sea like smell.

SilverLake (Big Cottonwood Canyon) - Brighton, UT


Sliverlake is a breathtaking location with a gorgeous boardwalk around the water. It can get a little chilly up at this location, but the views are spectacular! Best for couples or small families with older kids.

Jordan Pines - Big Cottonwood Canyon, UT


Located in Big cotton wood canyon there is a river and gorgeous tall pines with open fields. Beautiful all throughout the year.
